WORK.HAPPINESS 7.0 – New Blog Launched

Work.Happiness 7.0 is about work and life balance.

America has become “The Land of Unhappy Employees”. Companies are struggling to engage our modern, 21st century workforce.

This is also a worldwide issue. Gallup research shows that only 13% of employees around the world are actively engaged at work, and more than twice that number are so disengaged they are likely to spread negativity to others.

In America a stunning 87% of employees are unhappy, feeling used and abused. They are feeling undervalued and not able to work to their full potential.

  • 61% are unhappy & Looking
  • 26% are even hostile & causing dissent
  • Only 13% are feeling happy & productive.

We are at a critical crossroads. Dramatic and honest change must occur…and occur fast. Business management is struggling, trying to manage and motivate a 21st century workforce, but utilizing 19th century factory employee strategies. Strategies that were designed to control production workers is totally out-of-place for intelligent 21st century creative knowledge workers.

Workers today want to find work that has meaning – and companies that allow them to grow and use their creative minds. People want lives and work that is in balance. The latest generations want to contribute and be happy. They understand that happiness must be lived not on the weekends only but 7 days a week. Our blog title captures the new 21st century workforce – WORK.HAPPINESS 7.0.

Steve Jobs said it quite simply – “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle”.

This blog  will be a source of renewal and a guide to help you find the work that will fill you with passion and purpose. You came here with a gift. Your job is to find it, be the best you can be at it and share it with a world that is drowning in mediocrity.
